Standalone controller kit for Volvo TRW electro-hydraulic power steering pumps in motorsport applications.
This electronic controller kit is engineered for TRW electro-hydraulic power steering (EHPS) pumps used in Volvo C30, C70, S40, and V50 models. It is designed for circuit racing, rally, drift, and custom performance builds where an engine-driven hydraulic pump is replaced with an independent electric pump to optimize weight balance and reduce engine drag.
Factory TRW pumps require CAN-bus communication from the original vehicle chassis electronics to run. Without these messages, the pump will not run or defaults into failsafe mode. This controller module emulates the required CAN commands, allowing the pump to function standalone in any chassis. The included dash-mounted potentiometer allows continuous manual adjustment of steering assistance level directly from the cockpit.

Compatibility Notice:
Does not work with Ford Focus pump: This controller kit does NOT work with the Ford Focus power steering pump. Although the Ford Focus Mk2 / C-Max pump appears visually similar to the Volvo TRW unit, its internal CAN communication protocol is different. This controller is designed exclusively for Volvo TRW pumps.
